Hugo Brehme from the series "Volcanoes"
Brehme was a very important photographer in Mexico. He photographed
the typical life of the Mexican people, landscapes and architectural structures,
as well as prominent figures from the Mexican revolution.
Manuel Alvarez Bravo worked for Brehme in Mexico city and got his first camera from Brehme.
The painting in the restaurant (coming up next) reminded me of some of Brehme's photos of
volcanoes where it would show a person sitting or working on the foreground and in the
background a beautiful volcano with a snowcap.
