People sitting in a plaza
Empty planters
When remodeling the plaza I hope they have this idea on mind - less is more.
You saw the big difference taking the fence away made, it opened up the space and the
plaza now looks much nicer and even looks cleaner.
We love to overdo stuff so that people can see a big difference and think it was well worth
the wait and the money spent - or wasted as in the case with these huge concrete planters
that are all over the place and their only purpose was to hold one small bush or a lamp.
Do you really need a huge concrete planter full of dirt to hold a small thin lamp?
If these planters had been better planned (and not have so many everywhere) they could
have been made half the height and could have been used as a place to sit on.
(Top photo - People sitting on short wall around the grass and tree area in a plaza).
Half of these planters have been empty for more than a year, why didn't anybody
plant new plants in these planters? Is this the way the alligators that are planned to be
made with plants going to end? Did the idea of alligators made with plants come
while watching the movie Edward Scissorhands?
